Been a while since I’ve posted any music. Summer is officially here, which means I’ve got a LOT of free time on my hands. Thus, this is what I’ve spent my entire day’s efforts on.
A quick modal jazz tune, my first attempt at composing any jazz. I’m actually pretty happy with how this turned out, one of those random ideas that came out of nowhere. Watch for the 5/4 time signature and the hemiola in the main lead line. Written mainly in the… G Lydian mode? I think.
I lack real drum skills, as well as access to any drummers for recording, so I had to program the drum sounds on GarageBand. Rough mix, but you get the idea.
